Below are some of the ways you can fix the mouse setting issues in Windows 10.

1.      Disable the ‘Delete User Settings On Upgrade’ option

This is one of the most legit ways of disabling restoration of previous data after reboot. Follow the steps to get it done.

-        Enter Windows + Rà Type ‘Regedit à Enter ‘Open Registry Editor’

-        Navigate to : Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

-        Make sure to mark the ‘Install’ key on the left

-        You’ll find “DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade” on the right window

-        If you can’t find the key, create one. Right-click on the right window and then choose ‘New > DWORD (32-bit value)’

-        Name it ‘DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade’. Double click on it to change the value to ‘0’.

-        Reboot and check if it is working.

2.      Uninstall Mouse Driver

If the previous way didn’t work for you, try this process. Follow the steps to fix mouse settings that keep changing in Windows 10.

-        Windows + Rà Type devmgmt.msc à Hit ‘Enter’ option. It opens the Drive Manager

-        Open ‘Mice and other pointing devices’.

-        Right-click on the option that shows your mouse device.

-        Hit ‘Uninstall’.

-        Click ‘Yes’, if asked for permission

-        Reboot the PC to check if the problem is solved.

3.      Re-insert USB Mouse

If you are using a USB mouse all this time, the problem might just be there. Take it out from the USB port first. Now, reboot your PC and re-insert the mouse. This process might fix your mouse issue. If not, try the next process.

4.      Do a Clean Boot

Often 3-party software can hamper the smooth functioning of your PC. This could be one of the reasons for your sustaining reversed settings on reboot. Run a Clean Boot on your Windows 10 system with professional help. This could solve your problem.
